What is love?

Love and honor together are not the most common place things we regard as values in popular culture. They tend to be misused and looked upon as an after thought when we think of friendship or relationships. The word of God asks us to "love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... let's examine that level of commitment. In this generation its hard to find true commitment to things of virtue. Not only is this the first and great commandment it offers us the ultimate symbiotic relationship. This love will never taint, never fail and it only requires devotion. Now the reason in popular culture folks get divorces or switch partners at such an alarming rate has to do with 1. Not loving God and 2. Not loving self enough to understand that we all deserve pure love. Anytime a person perverts love or defiles their own and anothers body. Its because of their view of themselves. If you can't love and honor your self you can't honor someone else... and if you aren't honoring and loving the lord then you truly don't love your self. So what is love?
Love is a genuine gift we share it isn't purchased by actions or even contingent upon emotions at the moment. It may carry a strong emotional feeling but love should not be solely supported by feelings alone. Rather it is a decision we make on a daily basis that someone or something is valuable to us. Like genuine love, honor is a gift as well. Often times we make a choice to love someone before honor is present. Honor should be present before love is even a thought, if you honor a person love will keep you beholden to them. This isn't taught at school, or even in most households. We actually tend to love people who have no honor, or who have no respect for honor. I suggest if we are to have less heart ache in this life we should follow suit with our love of God applied to all situations..
See you at the track
